Eye ointment, 5g tube.
Composition
1 g of ointment contains 10 mg of tetracycline.
Product characteristics
A broad-spectrum antibiotic. It is active against extracellular and intracellular microorganisms.
Posology and method of administration
apply a strip of eye ointment 1–1.5 cm long into the conjunctival fold of the lower eyelid 3–4 times a day (in severe cases — up to 6 times).
Therapeutic indications
It is used to treat blepharitis, conjunctivitis, keratitis, dacryocystitis, stye, trachoma; for pre- and postoperative prophylaxis in the eye surgery. It is also used to prevent blennorrhea of the newborns. Paediatric use from 8 years of age.
